- Basic sword principles individually and with a partner
- The 54-move sequence (beginners start with a few initial moves)
- Techniques and applications
Prerequisite: Experience with empty-hand Tai Chi Chuan is required. Prior weapons experience is helpful but not necessary.
Sword: A wooden sword is required for partner practice. A metal sword may be used for solo training. If you don’t have one, wooden swords are available for purchase at the school.

Listening, Following, Sticking, Adhering | Four Principles of Push Hands, in Qigong and in Life

Qi, the Dao, and Cell Biology
Both Western and Eastern medical traditions base their definition of health on the correct functioning of bodily systems. In the Western paradigm, this is considered optimal cellular metabolism. In the Eastern model, this is considered the smooth flow of qi. Which concept is correct? They both are.

Effortless Being | Wu Wei, Karma Yoga, and the Secret of Work That Doesn’t Come from Force
Anyone who has done creative work for years knows this moment. For hours you have pressed on a problem with all your strength, and nothing has moved. Then you let go, take a walk, pour some tea, and the solution quietly appears from a place you weren’t looking. We usually call it “inspiration” and move on. But two ancient traditions did not treat it as mere good luck. They saw it as a principle of how to act, and they built practices around it.

Qìgōng Grand Circulation Exercises
In Qìgōng we say “Where the mind goes, energy flows.” Or more traditionally, the “Yi leads the Qì”; your intention leads your energy. You can think of your intention as your core consciousness merged with, or “riding on”, your most subtle energy. How do you “lead Qì to the palms”? Bring your mind to the palms, and energy increases there.

A Busy Mind, a Tired Body: Where Does Fatigue Come From?
Fatigue does not always come from physical work; sometimes, an overactive mind—through rumination, worry, and constant scenario-building—drains our energy more than the body does. This text offers an integrated perspective from neuroscience, cognitive psychology, and Eastern traditions to explain why mindful movement, breathing, and present-moment awareness can reduce mental fatigue and restore energy.

Reliability matters a great deal to me. In my experience of working with Aryanmehr, I’ve consistently noticed his organization, follow-through, and respect for the people he works with. Alongside attention to practical details, there is also a genuine consideration for individual circumstances and needs. That combination makes it easier to move forward with confidence.
